The Finance Department is responsible for providing financial management and accounting services for all city operations. This includes maintaining accounting records, borrowing money to finance city expenditures, investing city funds, audit and budget preparation, supervision of revenue collection and disbursements of city monies, payroll processing and financial reporting.
An independent bond rating agency, S&P Global Ratings, has assigned the City of Spring Lake Park an AA Rating. This rating covers the city's general obligation bonds.
The Spring Lake Park Police Department is accepting applications for a Police Officer position. Applicants must fulfill minimum selection standards of the Minnesota POST Board and must possess or be eligible to possess a Full-Time Minnesota Peace Officer License or have taken and passed the State Reciprocity Test to become a Peace Officer in the State of Minnesota by the application deadline. Applicants must present a detailed resume with their completed application, POST eligibility letter, copy of POST license or State reciprocity letter and, if applicable, a Veteran's DD214 form.
Current pay scale is $31.29/hour to $42.20/hour.
Applications can be obtained at the Spring Lake Park Police Department during normal business hours or on the City's website. Application deadline is noon on Friday, July 30, 2021. Applications received after the deadline will be declined.
The Administration Department is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the City. The Administration Department is led by the City Administrator, Daniel Buchholtz. The Administrator is responsible for the supervision of all City Departments and for implementing the policies of the City Council.
